What will I learn?

This Clinical Nutrition Training will make you know plenty about food and how it affects people with sickness. This training is for people who already know something about nutrition, and want to learn more about how to use food to help people with diabetes (sugar) and high blood pressure. You go learn about the different kinds of food like carbohydrates, and how they affect the body. You go learn how to cook food in a healthy way. And you go learn how to make special food plans for people based on what they need. You go learn bout how the body uses food and how to make people stick to their food plan. This training is short but it go give you plenty good information so you can give people good advice about what to eat, so they can get better.

Learn how to control sugar in the blood by knowing about carbohydrates.

Learn how to cook healthy food so people can eat well even if they have problems.

Learn how to make special food plans for each person based on their sickness and what they like.

Understand how different foods affect blood sugar and blood pressure.

Use the DASH diet (Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension) to help people with high blood pressure.
